Today I have a workshop for you on seasonal references in haiku. you can listen to it here in audio, on our YouTube channel and in a couple of days I will put a video of the workshop on YouTube.

If you want to read the poems that I’m going to use in this workshop you’ll be able to download them in the show notes on the poetry pea website. Do go and have a read.

Before I go on let me just say thank you to everyone who’s gone along to the website and bought me a coffee. The good news is I am 92% of the way to being able to afford my new microphone. Thank you.

Can I make a plea for people to come forward to be Community judges next year. I do have a few already but it’s always lovely to hear new voices on the podcast. Although if you feel a little shy about hearing yourself, I am happy to read your commentary for you and you can join the panel to discuss the poems. That’s a bit that’s not recorded, but it’s fun to meet with other poets.

Everyone brings something new to all our understanding of haiku and I very much thank everyone who’s done it so far this year. Next time we’ll hear from Robert Horrobin , Giddy Nielsen Sweep and Vandana Parashar who are our community judges for long haiku.

S4E21: Haiku are seasonal…aren’t they?
